Boarding at the Wharton Pet Inn & Spa is truly a unique experience for your pet! Our new facilities are top of the line, to ensure that your pet is comfortable during their stay, and our dedicated staff members will care for your pet like family!
Your pet is sure to enjoy our climate-controlled suites, complete with a raised bed, TV viewing, room service and access to their own private outdoor patio. While staying at the Wharton Pet Inn & Spa, your pet will be taken out to exercise a minimum of three times a day, in either our fenced pet park or pet garden at no extra charge.
All of our boarding suites come with a scenery wall to help your pet feel like they are truly on vacation. See the great landscapes of the Lone Star State, wander over to California, roam off to Lake Tahoe, or explore the natural beauty of Big Bend, The Grand Canyon, Yellow Stone and Yosemite National Park. Maybe your pooch is a party animal and would enjoy a stay in Las Vegas, New York or Paris, but if they just want to kick back and relax our beach scenes from Galveston, Surfside, Tahiti or Cancun, may be the perfect fit.
Cleanliness and comfort is important to us, and you can be confident knowing that each individual pet suite is cleaned and disinfected daily with the highest quality products to keep our guests germ and pest free. When your pet stays at the Wharton Pet Inn & Spa, you can rest assured they will receive the highest level of care and attention, and in case of emergencies, we always have a doctor on site or just a moment away!

Accommodations & Rates
Canine Grande Room
Boarding Rates: $48.75 per night and $46.50 for each additional dog lodging in the same suite. Pets staying for longer than 7 days receive a 15% discount.
The Grande Room is our biggest room for maximum comfort and space! This 6’x8′ luxury suite is available as indoor only or indoor/outdoor with a private patio. This room is fully air-conditioned comes equipped with a Kuranda bed, scenery wall, and a TV. Pets staying in the Grande Room are taken out a minimum of three times per day.
Canine Luxury Room
Boarding Rates: $45.00 per night and $37.00 for each additional dog lodging in the same suite. Pets staying for longer than 7 days receive a 15% discount.
The Luxury Room is slightly smaller than the Grande Room, but is just as comfortable. This popular 4’x8′ suite provides your dog with spacious quarters where he or she can enjoy a safe, private and clean stay. Your pet can lounge inside and watch TV on their raised Kuranda bed, or venture outside and enjoy their individual patio. Your pet will be able to use the come-and-go access patio all day, until it’s time for bed in the evenings.
Canine Lodge Room
Boarding Rates: $38.25 per night and $32.50 for each additional dog lodging in the same suite. Pets staying for longer than 7 days receive a 15% discount.
The Lodge Room is a very comfortable room at a comfortable price! This room is an indoor only suite, and is fully air-conditioned. Pets staying in the Lodge Room are taken out for exercise and potty breaks a minimum of three times per day.
Feline Friendly Inn
Here at the Wharton Veterinary Clinic we pride ourselves on being a Cat Friendly Practice. Our feline friends have the option of staying in our Feline Friendly Inn, designated to be free from distractions with the comfort of natural lighting. However you may opt for a luxury suite for your feline family member with extra indoor playtime available.
Feline Grande Room
Boarding Rates: $45 per night and $36 for each additional cat lodging in the same suite. Pets staying for longer than 7 days receive a 15% discount.
The Grande Room is our biggest room for maximum comfort and space! This luxury suite is available as indoor only, is fully air-conditioned, and comes equipped with a TV and a 4 foot cat tree for your cats’ enjoyment to make them feel quite at home away from home.
Feline Condominiums
Boarding Rates: $26.75 per night and $22.25 for each additional cat lodging in the same fully air-conditioned suite. Pets staying for longer than 7 days receive a 15% discount.
Additional Services
Play Time Upgrades: Pets are taken out a minimum of three times per day, upgrades available with additional 2 play times in 10 minute intervals daily at a rate of $13.00 each.
Medication: giving medication to a pet while boarding is available for $5.50 per day.
Doggy Day Care:
Our Doggy Day Care Social Club offers a safe, fun way for your pet to spend the day while you are away at work. Pet owners driving by our location can see playful pooches enjoying the great outdoors in our Doggy Daycare play yard. This fun for all experience is an opportunity when boarding with us overnight, through the week, or even just for the day! It is also great way for your pet to get their daily dose of exercise and socialization! Required vaccinations for Doggy Day Care: DHLP-P, Rabies and Bordatella.
Doggy Day Care Rates:
- $29.00 for a single day
- $26.00 for 2 to 3 times a week
- $23.90 for 4 to 5 times a week
- $21.00 for 10-14 days

Helpful information
* We recommend that your dog/cat arrive in the morning. Although there are no set arrival times, your dog will benefit by being here a full day before having to settle in for the night.
* Please have your pets name and last name clearly marked an any items you choose to bring.
* You may bring their favorite bed or blanket. Please do not bring bowls, we will provide those for you. please do not bring something they may shred or can swallow.
